Christopher has nearly a decade of experience in courts across the country, litigating matters involving commercial disputes, public records requests, privacy interests, insurance, civil rights, corporate shareholder disputes, and media access rights. He is highly respected by both the bench and the bar as a fierce advocate and careful strategist. Christopher has briefed and argued dispositive and non-dispositive matters, negotiated settlements in complex matters both before and after commencement of a lawsuit, and guided clients to solutions that minimized their risk of exposure to both potential liability and unnecessary litigation cost.

In addition to his dedication to his clients, Christopher is committed public service and equal access to the justice system. This belief in helping those without the financial means to receive adequate representation has led him to represent prisoners pursuing excessive force claims against their prison, independent publications responding to litigation threats and legal permanent residents fighting their forced removal and deportation to stay in the United States.

Before joining Sapientia, Christopher practiced at an AmLaw 100 firm in Minneapolis. He has been active in the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association throughout his career, and he currently serves as an Executive Board Member. Christopher served as a judicial clerk to Hon. Richard H. Kyle, Hon. Tony N. Leung, and Hon. Katherine M. Menendez, all in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Christopher is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt training at Rebel Jiu Jitsu in Eagan, Minnesota. Beyond that, he has collected a full range of hobbies over the years: he rides a fixed gear bike (with brakes—he’s not a maniac), is a pretty good disc golf player, used to shoot pool much better than he does now, and is struggling to teach himself to play the ukulele.
