Demetria Dyer assists clients in resolving a wide variety of business and commercial litigation issues. She has experience with matters involving shareholder disputes, fraud, employment law, corporate governance, Title IX, bankruptcy, information privacy, and general contract disputes. Demetria helps guide clients through all stages of federal and state civil litigation. Demetria is also a member of Sapientia’s COVID-19 Business Counsel team and is knowledgeable about both state and local relief programs available to small businesses that are impacted by the pandemic.
Prior to joining Sapientia, Demetria served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas Fraser of the Fourth Judicial District of the State of Minnesota. In this role, she performed legal research and analysis, drafted opinions, and assisted with trial and hearing preparation.
While in law school Demetria also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Michael J. Davis at the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. As an extern, Demetria conducted legal research and analysis and drafted memoranda and opinions.
Outside of work, Demetria is an avid volunteer in her community. She frequently speaks to groups of young people and mentors diverse law students. Demetria also loves taking group fitness classes and spending quality time with family and friends.
