Receiverships

A receivership is a powerful tool for a secured creditor to protect collateral. A court-appointed receiver may be empowered to collect rents, manage and maintain property, and sell property under court supervision, among other powers. Debtors may be able to negotiate concessions in exchange for cooperating with the appointment of a receiver.

Sapientia’s attorneys help secured creditors get receivers appointed. We also help debtors negotiate terms for the consensual appointment of a receiver. Depending on the circumstances, we also help debtors oppose the appointment of a receiver.
