March 14, 2025 – Sapientia’s Andrea Mejia Narvaez delivered a passionate, inspiring speech at the 2025 Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association (MHBA) Annual Gala. Andrea spoke to over 350 Gala attendees at the University of Minnesota NcNamara Alumni Center as the President-Elect of the MHBA. She also organized the Gala and spearheaded the record-breaking fundraising drive for the event.

Andrea’s rousing speech was also a call to action. “Our community needs us and only through our collective efforts can we make a difference,” she implored. “We have to act as community if we want our voices to be heard, and we have to act as a community if we want to be seen as a community. Yes, we cannot be seen as the Hispanic or Latinx community if we don’t act together.”
